In a recent survey by Kount regarding mobile payments, mobile is already an increasingly important channel for merchants, with 86% of merchants surveyed declaring they will have mobile capabilities in place by the end of 2014. Moreover 63% already support mobile in some capacity.

To provide options for merchants that are thinking mobile, TSYS unveiled the expansion of its cloud and tablet-based point-of-sale (POS) technology offerings by entering a strategic partnership with ShopKeep POS

"TSYS has a long history in the payment industry and provides an extremely high-quality service."

Under the terms of the agreement, TSYS is set to provide ShopKeep along with its payment processing services to its customers.

ShopKeep POS is a platform for running a shop from an iPad with real-time reporting on the web. The ShopKeep POS iPad app encompasses sales, processes credit cards and mobile payments, prints and emails receipts and prints orders remotely.

“We started with ShopKeep after having a terrible experience with another provider because it wasn’t working and not user-friendly,” says Autumn Pruitt, owner of Bliss Bakery and Aromas Coffee House, “It offers more than a gut check because it offers actual numbers.”

Pruitt says that it’s wonderful for small businesses growing. “There are no contracts, so we feel like we are being wooed every day for our business.”
